Diabetes can occur at any age and is a life-long condition. It is
therefore only to be expected that people with diabetes will, at various
times, have other medical disorders.
Medications may affect diabetes in different ways.
Make sure each doctor or pharmacist you consult knows that you have
diabetes and is aware of all the medications you use.
Never take a new medication without determining if it may affect your
diabetes and, if so, what precautions you should take.
Be aware that problems are most likely to occur at times of dose
change or when you stop and start medications. At these times, take
extra care.
