This year, Diabetes Australia will raise awareness of the 12 Australians who develop diabetes every hour – 8 of these people will develop type 2 diabetes.

Help us celebrate Diabetes Australia Walk to Work 2017 by walking to work on 6 October and building walking into your daily routine.

Raise funds for Diabetes Australia and type 2 diabetes prevention by asking your friends and family to sponsor your steps. Donate or collect $12 for every hour you walk in October. This is a great way to start a new healthy habit for life!

Taking positive steps to reduce sedentary behaviour and prevent type 2 diabetes can also reduce other risk factors like stroke, heart disease and various of types cancer.

So why not ask your colleagues, friends and family to get behind you this October and sponsor your commitment to those living with diabetes.
