Passing of former President of Diabetes Australia – ACT, Roger Killeen 19 February 2021 It is with great sadness that we report the passing of former President of Diabetes Australia – ACT, Roger Killeen. Roger had a distinguished career as a diabetes advocate. In addition to serving as President of Diabetes ACT, he was a board member of Diabetes Australia, a life member of Diabetes NSW and ACT, a longstanding consumer representative on various diabetes advisory groups and, for many years, was an active member of diabetes support groups in the ACT. In 2015, Roger was also awarded a Kellion Victory Medal in acknowledgement of fifty years living well with diabetes (see picture). He will continue to be remembered for the lives he touched and the people he helped. Diabetes Australia would like to extend our deepest condolences to Roger’s family during this time.
