Diabetes Australia
Australians living with diabetes should have equitable access to the technology they need to live well. After decades of technological advancement, diabetes technologies are significantly improving health outcomes and quality of life for people who use them. However, there are significant gaps in access.
Automated Insulin Delivery (AID) systems are an established standard of care in type 1 diabetes however, access to insulin pump therapy, a core component of an AID system, is out of reach for many Australians due to our current pump funding model. Unfortunately, for many people this technology is too expensive.
That’s why we’re fighting for subsidised access to AID systems for adults living with type 1 diabetes.
Using the form, share with us how affordable access to AID would improve your diabetes management and your quality of life.
Diabetes Australia will use your stories to spark change with the Australian Government to ensure more people living with type 1 diabetes can access this life-saving technology.
