Diabetes YOUnited is Diabetes Australia’s membership program, which has been revamped to significantly expand the range of services and support available to help people across the country live well with diabetes. Diabetes Australia membership now includes three levels. I was already a member of Diabetes Australia, how has my membership changed? As a valued member of Diabetes Australia, you were automatically upgraded to YOUnited Plus, at no extra cost when we launched Diabetes YOUnited in November 2024. Under this level of membership, you will now get a range of new and expanded benefits (as outlined in the table), along with the things you already love, like Circle magazine. As a YOUnited Plus member, you will continue to have specific membership rights, including the right to vote at the AGM. What are Diabetes Australia’s membership options? We now have 3 levels of membership within Diabetes YOUnited: Diabetes YOUnited Essential – free for all, for life. Diabetes YOUnited Plus – $34*/$70 a year (*with concession card) Diabetes YOUnited Legacy – $1000. A lifetime of membership for a one-off set-and-forget payment. What happens to my Diabetes YOUnited membership if I move interstate? Diabetes YOUnited is for all Australians no matter where they live. You’ll continue to receive all the same benefits. Please remember to update us with your new address and any other new contact details. Can I be a member of both Diabetes Australia and another local state or territory diabetes organisation? Yes of course. Being a member of Diabetes YOUnited doesn’t affect membership of another local diabetes organisation. Sometimes, support starts closer to home and local diabetes organisations work tirelessly to provide tailored support, community programs, and additional resources you may benefit from.
