Ingredients

2 slices of lower carb bread* 

2 slices of cheddar cheese  

1 teaspoon butter  

Method

  1. Spread butter on one side of each slice of bread — this will be the outside of the sandwich for toasting. 
  2. Place cheese between the unbuttered sides of the bread, so the buttered sides are facing out. 
  3. Heat a sandwich press until ready to use. 
  4. Place the sandwich in and press gently. Cook for 2–3 minutes per side (or until golden brown and the cheese is melted). 
  5. Slice in half and enjoy while warm.
