Ingredients

½ cup oat bran

200ml water

1 cup milk of your choice

½ cup blueberries (fresh or frozen)

2 tablespoons chopped walnuts or other nuts/seeds (optional)

Pinch of salt

Method

  1. Heat a medium saucepan on medium heat. Add the oat bran and whisk continuously for about 30 seconds, or until you begin to smell it toasting.
  2. Add the milk, water and salt. Continue to whisk constantly to prevent the oatbran clumping together.
  3. Bring the oatbran to boil whilst continuing to whisk. Stir in the blueberries. Reduce the heat and continue to whisk for 3 minutes. Oatbran is ready when the oats have soaked up most of the liquid and are creamy. Add any extra liquid if needed. Serve and top each bowl with walnuts.
