News from Vancouver, World Diabetes Congress! 2 December 2015 The World Diabetes Congress is already in full swing with lots of powerful stories and discussion. Follow what’s happening on the International Diabetes Federation Facebook page or on twitter with the hashtag #WDC15 or #WDC2015. Australia is well represented at the Congress. Diabetes Victoria Manager- Consumer Engagement and National Program Leader- Type 1 Diabetes, Renza Scibilia delivered a presentation titled ‘Don’t Leave it to others.’ She discussed the importance of people with diabetes and diabetes organisations working more closely #togetherwearestronger A big congratulations to Ashley Ng from Victoria who is the President Elect for the IDF Young Leaders in Diabetes, Tammy Moran from Western Australia who is the Regional Chair Elect for the Western Pacific and Stephanie Cesile who was elected to the Young Leaders in Diabetes Executive. Susan Alberti received the STAR award and Guy Barnett MP from Tasmania has been elected to the role of President for the IDF Parliamentarians for Diabetes Global Network.
