Registrations now open for the region’s largest diabetes congress! 5 November 2025 The countdown is on, with registrations and abstract submissions now open for one of the most significant international diabetes events ever hosted in Australia. In August 2026, Melbourne will welcome the International Diabetes Federation Western Pacific Region Congress, combined with the Australasian Diabetes Congress and Metabolic Diseases 2026 – creating the largest diabetes Congress in the Southern Hemisphere. Held at the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre, 18 – 21 August 2026, this expanded international meeting will bring together the best of all three events, offering an unparalleled platform for collaboration, education, and innovation across the Western Pacific region and beyond. With more than 2,500 delegates expected from around the world, whether you’re a researcher, clinician, educator, or advocate, there’s a place for your voice and your work. Hosted by Diabetes Australia, the Australian Diabetes Society, and the Australian Diabetes Educators Association, this landmark event will unite health professionals, researchers, and advocates to share the latest in research, clinical care, education, and lived experience.
