Update on Ozempic availability – February 2023 16 February 2023 The Therapeutic Goods Administration (TGA) has advised that limited supplies of Ozempic have now arrived in Australia. It is expected that from late next week some pharmacies will have stock. The TGA expects supply to improve over the next few weeks, however stock will remain limited for some time. Health professionals are being strongly recommended to prioritise people living with type 2 diabetes and consider alternative medicines to treat people living with obesity until stock levels approve. If you live with type 2 diabetes and were using Ozempic to manage your condition talk to your pharmacist so that they can assist you in filling your prescription when they have stock.
