DiaBuddies moves to the internet 25 September 2020 DiaBuddies Days is one of our most loved programs and we’re excited to announce online DiaBuddies sessions that will run throughout 2020 onward. We have fun activities such as art classes and science experiments planned so keep an eye out on the DiaBuddies page. Sessions for parents and carers are an opportunity to connect with others raising a child with type 1 diabetes. Get tips and ‘been there, done that’ advice from others in a relaxed online environment. Bring your coffee and chat with people who understand the ups and downs of living with type 1 diabetes. We’ll be bringing the children a range of different fun games and activities, allowing them to meet and play with other buddies living with type 1 diabetes. Some of these activities will explore type 1 diabetes in an age appropriate way, others will focus purely on having fun! You can find a full list of events to register for here. We have also set up an online community for parents of children with type 1 diabetes, to stay in touch and support each other. Find our group on Facebook, called ‘DiaBuddies Support Group’. The presentation of DiaBuddies Online has been made possible through the generous support of Future Generation Australia.
