Urgent Product Defect Correction: Android FreeStyle LibreLink app on Android 13 operating system (OS) 21 February 2023 The Android 13 operating system update was recently released and made available to Android phones. Abbott Diabetes Care has recently discovered that when using smartphones with the Android 13 operating system, users may experience extended periods of signal loss in the FreeStyle LibreLink app. In these situations, users of glucose alarms may not receive low glucose and high glucose alarms. This does not impact the ability to get glucose readings by scanning the sensor. Abbott advises that if you have not installed Android 13 OS, to consider waiting until the FreeStyle LibreLink app update becomes available in the coming weeks. For more information visit: https://www.freestylelibre.com.au/app-update or call the FreeStyle Libre customer service team on 1800 801 478 between 8am and 6pm AEDT, Monday – Friday, for further support.
